We are the largest voluntary sector provider of mental health services, with over 200 services in England. Founded 40 years ago through voluntary groups for people affected by mental illness, we have over 100 groups in England.

Living with mental illness

Mental illness can affect many areas of your life. But we are here to help. 

Carers, family and friends

This section is for everyone affected by mental illness, including carers, families, and friends.

Much of the information is designed for people who know someone who has a mental illness. Our Diagnosis & Treatment section and Living with Mental Illness sections are more designed for people directly affected. Although some information is written with a particular reader in mind, all of it is open to everyone.
