In addition to the newly refurbished area at the centre, Age UK Plymouth has also assembled a new team to specifically oversee the running of the Wellbeing Hub and community projects and services that will be run from the centre.
Services available at the Mount Gould Wellbeing Hub
Whatever your goals, we can help you access a wide range of support.
This could include:
- health advocacy through social prescribing
- advice on a range of issues, including social care, welfare benefits, housing and consumer issues, from Age UK Plymouth's Information and Advice Team
- a dedicated befriending and phone friend service
- a range of local volunteering opportunities
- signposting of local and citywide providers of health services and community groups and activities
- activities, workshops and events, including coffee mornings and lunch clubs
- advice with managing long term health conditions through a partnership with Livewell South West that enables drop in sessions to be made available within the community
- working in partnership with Improving Lives Plymouth, both to provide support for carers and on an age positive programme

What are Wellbeing Hubs?
Plymouth's Wellbeing Hubs have four main aims:
- Ensure fair access to health and wellbeing support
- Improve communities experience of health and care systems
- Support healthier lives through community-based services
- Strengthen community connections
All Wellbeing Hubs offer:
- Social and physical activities
- Befriending
- Opportunities to volunteer
- Welfare, benefits and cost of living advice
- Mental health support
- Signposting and referral service
Targeted services available in the hubs:
- Family and parenting provision
- Disability support
- Healthy eating and Food Access initiatives
- Social prescribing
- Veteran support
- Long-term health conditions support
- Carer's support
