Members of the Plymouth Food Aid Network seek to bring an end to food insecurity across the city; however, they still recognise that there remains a need for emergency food aid in the short term. The Network actively works to offer the least stigmatising forms of emergency food aid provision possible and to work collectively to end the need for reliance on these short-term services.

PFAN is supported by Food Plymouththe city's recognised local food partnership and is a central connecting hub for all food-related matters across Plymouth. Food Plymouth's interests and activities span the domains of social, economic, and environmental sustainability.
