Plymouth Arts Cinema has had an established history in the city since 1947. In early 2019, we moved from our original home of the Plymouth Arts Centre on Looe Street to the Plymouth College of Art's main campus at Tavistock Place. You can expect a warm welcome at our brand new, custom-built 118-seat cinema.
From foreign and arthouse films to more mainstream fare, Plymouth Arts Centre Cinema programmer Anna Navas picks the best of what's around, along with the occasional classic to enjoy on the big screen.
So take a glass of wine, beer, or a hot drink from the café bar into the cinema, relax in the comfy seats, and enjoy the film!
Our cinema is independent, so we hand-pick all of our films, from the best of arthouse cinema from around the world to those blockbusters that you wouldn't want to watch anywhere else.
