Problems with building work, decorating or home improvements
No matter what the issue is, you'll need to talk to the contractor and come to an agreement.
You should take up the issue with the contractor who arranged the work, even if they passed it on to another business.
Before you do that, it's a good idea to:
- gather any paperwork and receipts
- take photos to use as evidence of the issue
- make notes about what's happened, including dates and times
What you should do next depends on the type of issue.
- Before you get building work done
- Problem with building work, decorating or home improvements
- Cancelling building or decorating work
