We specialise in supporting students with a range of learning needs, including social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH), autism spectrum disorder (ASC), Asperger's syndrome, ADHD, and attachment-related and associated behaviours that challenge. All of our students have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) and require additional support beyond that which is provided in a mainstream setting.
Our educational approach
We support young people with a range of needs who have significant barriers to learning. Whatever their readiness to trust and engage, our curriculum structure allows them to develop a culture of success from the outset.
Chapel Bridge School is planned to be a special school for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and/or autism spectrum disorder.
All pupils will have an education, health and care (EHC) plan funded by a local authority.
We challenge the status quo and ask our staff, our leaders, to unlearn what they have learned—to usher in a new and progressive approach to education
We want to influence others to 'think differently' about education, to learn about some of the approaches that we know are working well for us, so that other children and young people, who we may never even meet, have a better educational experience and progress to have a happier and more fulfilled life.
