Honeybourne House is a nursing home providing care and accommodation for up to 21 people with learning disabilities. Accommodation is provided within the main house, as is a purpose-built bungalow on the grounds.
It is situated in a mainly residential district, with a playing field immediately adjacent. It is just 2 miles from the city centre. Plymouth is a historic port with many attractions. Road and rail connections are very good. There are 2 railway stations in the city. Exeter is just 40 miles away.
Dedicated staff at Honeybourne maintain a warm and homely atmosphere. The aim is to provide a safe, supportive, and caring environment for their residents. Every person's needs are different, so their requirements are tailored to suit each individual. There is a range of activities on offer, and participation is gently encouraged. Achievements are recognised and celebrated. Great importance is placed on listening to the views and concerns of residents in order to help them overcome anxieties or problems. Access to family and friends is welcome where appropriate and beneficial. The key objective is to assist residents in building the self-confidence and life skills that will enable them to live an enjoyable and satisfying life.
