We would like all our children, irrespective of background or special need, to be prepared for success in their future lives.
We will achieve this by nurturing and developing their achievements, their experiences, and their skills, and we will provide the skills and knowledge needed to promote growth mindsets and build resilience in our children.
We recognise the vital role parents play in their children's learning and are committed to developing partnerships with parents.
Our Breakfast and After School Club
At Salisbury Road Primary, we provide additional support for families outside regular school hours. Both our breakfast and after-school clubs are run by teaching assistants employed by the school.
Breakfast Club
Our breakfast club runs 5 days a week. The doors open at 7.45am and it runs until 8.45am when the children are free to enter their classrooms at the start of the school day. The children are provided with a choice of cereals or toast with a selection of spreads and hot or cold drinks. Bookings are required to secure a place and must be made via the online booking system by the first Sunday of the week.
After School Club
We also run a very popular after-school club, which is also held in a classroom on the ground floor. It provides parents with excellent value and high-quality child care between 3.15pm - 5.45pm every day of the week.
There is an exciting programme of activities in place on different days of the week, which include cooking, arts and crafts, table tennis, computing, board games and puzzles, and activities in the playground, weather permitting.
If you need an emergency place at After School Club and have not booked in advance, please call the school office. You will be able to book a place on the day if there are spaces remaining; however, we cannot guarantee that this will be the case.

Salisbury Road is committed to providing an appropriate, high quality, inclusive education to ensure the best possible progress for all our pupils, whatever their abilities or needs.
As part of our strategic plan for improvement, we aspire to develop cultures, policies and practices that include all learners. We aim to engender a sense of community and belonging and to raise the aspirations and expectations for all pupils with special education needs and disabilities (SEND).
We believe that all children should be equally valued in our school. We will strive to eliminate prejudice and discrimination, and to develop an environment where all children can achieve and feel safe.
Plymouth uses an orange 'Local Offer icon' to show services that define themselves as suitable for children and young people with SEND. These are part of Plymouth's SEND Local Offer. We recommend that you contact the service provider to make sure the service is suitable for your child or young person.
