Tops Bretonside Day Nursery

Our Bretonside nursery is set in a grade II-listed terrace row, with some original features inside dating back to the 1800's. It has a homely feel to allow easy transitions for children moving between the baby, toddler, and preschool rooms, with a number of exciting resources readily available for them to investigate.

Children have the opportunity to explore nature through the well-used garden and mud kitchen. The recently revamped rooms in the nursery are constantly changing based on the children's interests.

Tops Bretonside is situated within a thriving arts community, in close proximity to the Theatre Royal and the Mayflower House of Arts. Children's natural curiosity can be well catered for with access to numerous sites of historical interest, such as the Mayflower Steps Memorial, as well as museums and ancient buildings.

The nearby north quay hosts a stunning aquarium, which offers many watery educational activities as well as, of course, the vast number of boats to watch and ducks to feed!

Although located in the city centre of Plymouth, our Bretonside nursery is not far from the Elizabethan Gardens, with their glorious water fountain, and Hoe Park, with its large, green spaces and lighthouse.

Out Tops Bretonside Nursery in Plymouth also implements extracurricular activities in line with the rest of the Tops Day Nurseries family. For example, Tops Cooking School, Boogie Mites, yoga, tooth brushing, football fun, and much more!

At Tops Day Nurseries, our aim is for all children to meet or exceed the expected development for their age. We are implementing 'SchemaPlay' across all of our settings to help narrow the gap for any children showing signs of delay and to also enhance the learning experiences for all children that attend our settings.
